About this product
Gates CDX belts have extra-reinforced carbon fibres and an extra wear-resistant polyurethane running layer. CDX components are the strongest and most durable parts of the belt drive system, which makes them ideal for use on mountain bikes and e-MTBs with mid-motors and high torque.
What is the difference between the all-black and the black/blue belt?
There is no functional difference between the black and the black-and-blue CDX Carbon drive belts from Gates; both are identical in technology, strength and durability. The difference in colour is purely cosmetic. Both belts have a comparable life and are intended for heavy conditions.
Technology and strength:
Both belts are CDX Carbon, which means they are reinforced with carbon fibres for extra strength and durability, with a life of some 10,000 to 15,000 kilometres.
