About this product
In the CDN series, the carbon fibres of the belt are embedded in a polymer-based plastic. The emphasis of the CDN components is more on low-maintenance operation than on an extremely long lifespan compared to the other Gates series. Nevertheless, the lifespan still averages one and a half times longer than that of a regular bicycle chain. The CDN system thus offers a particularly advantageous entry into Gates technology. The CDN system is specifically developed for use on city and everyday bicycles. Bicycles that are used in all weather conditions and are often parked outside or at the station. Bicycles where low maintenance and reliability are particularly important. The CDN system is a quiet, clean, and low-maintenance drive for urban daily use and is based on the same carbon fibre technology as Gates' top components.
